The Forest on the Ohio, Watoga in the bog, Toxic Valley in the north
Appalachia sits on the Pip-Boy paper map of Fallout 76. Vault 76 opens the Forest on the west water of the Ohio. Helvetia, Morgantown, and Camden Park sit in that green country. Toxic Valley holds Grafton in the north. The Ash Heap holds the mines and the south-west smoke. The Savage Divide climbs the spine: Top of the World, the Palace of the Winding Path, and Foundation on the east of that ridge. The Mire holds the swamp. Cranberry Bog holds Watoga in the south-east red. The Whitespring Resort and The Crater mark the centre country. Rapidan Camp and Shenandoah sit on Skyline Valley in the south.
Towns, workshops, vaults, bunkers, military sites, and rail stations stay on. Cabins, shacks, lookouts, mines, caves, and water start hidden so the towns stay readable. Open them when you are hunting a workshop or a shaft.
