The name Cava Geminos was given to the twin Bavarium mines before a third vein was discovered and Cava Geminos Est opened. The locals refer to it as "the third twin" as a wry poke at Medician military spending.
-
This Bavarium mine opened at the turn of the 20th century, when Salvatore Albano sold his hillside ranch to the Parvetalpo l'Obra Minerari. Di Ravello greatly expanded the mine, and its neighbor Cava Geminos Sud , near the turn of the 21st century.
-
Bavarium was unearthed here in the 1970s, when a small team of French paleontologists unearthed blue rock near their camp. A meager quarry ("Mine your own Bavarium!") served as a tourist attraction until Di Ravello militarized the mine shortly after coming to power...
-
True to its name, Cava Grande is the largest single mine in Medici , visible even from space. Known for harsh conditions, it has become the final resting place of over 10,000 Medician souls in the past 50 years.
-
On a clear day, the great excavators of Cava Grande Secunde are visible from Citate Di Ravello . Though smaller than its parent, Cava Grande , Secunde is no less successful a mine and no less a scar on the countryside.
-
Cava Montana is the former site of Granpatre, once the third-tallest mountain in Medici . In less than a decade, the great peak became a tepid inland lake, thanks to merciless mining and demolition. Old photographs of Granpatre are collectors' items in the nearby town of Bellevia ...

-
Built into the craggy rocks atop Lacos , the Silo of Cima Leon is a remnant of Medici's early nuclear ICBM tests during the Cold War. Locals mutter that the military presence there is too large to simply be protecting radioactive waste.
-
Sister base to Espia Bassa , Alta's location was long known as a hotspot for unexplained aerial sightings before the General decided to establish a military facility there. Could there be a link between the area's mysterious history and its giant satcom dish?
-
Sister base to Espia Alta , little is known about the brand of information gathered by Alta's massive satellite dish. Leaked recordings reveal simple, low frequency radio patterns, suggesting a monitoring of deep space.
-
The lofty fortress of Griphon is one of Medici's largest military airfields. During the Cold War, Di Ravello reluctantly loaned out Griphon to his Western allies, and a contingent of NATO aircraft called the base home during the days of the...
-
The prison of Le Galera has existed, in one form or another, since the days of Nero. Christians were persecuted here until Constantine, and native Salirosans for centuries after. Pirates, fascists, and terrorists have called these halls home till the ends of their days...
-
Mysterious Le Tutor stands atop a tiny, weathered island. The giant dish here intercepts radio signals from as far away as Libya and Croatia, ensuring Di Ravello's security by providing him with valuable insight into the political turmoil of the region.
-
The sprawling Porto Cavo naval base is the main dispatch of marine units across Medici's island chains. Its use of existing cave features offers a measure of protection from both aerial assault and surveillance, forcing would-be invaders to navigate the narrow, heavily-fortified...
-
The sequestered harbor of Porto Coclea is home to a large prison complex. Smugglers who fail to elude capture on their way to or from Spain, France or Monaco, spend time here before either bargaining for their freedom or being transferred to one of Insula Striate's ...

Medici's oldest harbor, Porto Tridente was long considered Medici's window to France and Spain. Now it's a window to nowhere, serving only to launch the zealous Medician fleet on endless patrols for pirates, rebels and spies.
-
Once a bustling, exotic market, the sprawling harbor of Porto Vena is now the largest military port in the Mediterranean.
-
Occupying the southernmost tip of Insula Dracon's Petra province, Puncta Sud is a major telecommunications hub for the General's regime. All decoding, encryption, and black market brokering between Medici and other rogue nations flows through its many antennas.
-
The inefficacy of the rebellion in Insula Fonte is owed mainly to Vigilator Nord's digilent eavesdropping. The massive dish and spires maintain watch over the entire northern island of Insula Fonte .
-
Nestled in the otherwise tranquil pine forests of Sirocco Sud, this massive listening station gathers and processes hundred of millions telecommunication signals every day. The "Southern Overseer" is primarily tasked with intercepting revolutionary communiques.
-
A 600 year-old vineyard was flattened, and the military power plant of Vis Electra was built in two months by prison labor. To this day, no one knows where its power goes, or how many political prisoners are entombed within its foundation.

Manaea was the original capital of Medici , back when the island's name was first formally established by the Roman-Hunnic occupants following the Barbarian Invasions of the fifth century. This cliffside area, which winds through a bustling residential apartment district, was recently...

The history of Nacre is told by its idols. Venus was worshipped in the offshore ruins. But Venus was torn down by the Christians, who worshipped in the church they built at the center of town. But Di Ravello filled in the churchyard to erect a statue in his own image...

There was a time when Olivo Moro was known throughout the Mediterranean for its high-quality olive oil, but that reputation has slowly deteriorated under the constant strain of civil unrest. It exists today as a town blighted by rubble, graffiti and abandoned buildings.

Ancient art and architecture stand proudly in the shadow of apartment complexes. Luxury auto advertisements adorn tenements and sadistic soldiers debase once-venerated churches. The oil rig platform Platteforma Costa Sud and the monastery of Sancte Galile can be held in sight at the same...

Built entirely upon the foundation of a defensive stronghold dating back to the Punic Wars, myths persist of haunted figures still patrolling the war-scarred battlements. Adventurous visitors may find relics of a forgotten era hidden within its walls.

Three islands, one dictator, Bavarium in the rock
Medici sits on one island chart: Insula Dracon west in the sea, Insula Striate the mountain north, Insula Fonte the south, Citate Di Ravello on the water between them.
Towns, villages, outposts, bases, and the three regional commands stay on. Garages, daredevil jumps, races, and the rest of the challenge list start hidden so the capital and Cima Leon stay readable. Open them when you are hunting a frenzy or a garage.
