Dungeon level 9 is entered by exploding the entrance with a Bomb . Access is granted after collecting every Triforce piece in all other dungeons. The Red Ring and Silver Arrow are obtained here. Ganon resides in this area and must be defeated in order to beat the game.

Sixteen by eight screens, twice
The 1986 overworld is a grid of screens: the starting sand in the south, Level 1 in the forest above it, Level 9 in the northern rocks, the Magical Sword under a grave in the western graveyard.
Dungeon doors, secret caves, shops, and life hearts stay on. The looping screens start hidden so the land stays readable. The Maps tab opens the Second Quest, where those doors move to new squares on the same coastline.
